BeachDrape™ Crochet Kimono
You didn't get dressed.
You got draped.
An open-front crochet kimono that turns a swimsuit into an outfit in one motion. No buttons. No zip. No sizing decision. You walk from the water to the bar looking like you planned it.
- One size — engineered drape, not guesswork
- Free returns within 30 days
- Tracked dispatch in 24 hours
A swimsuit is not an outfit.
And a towel is not a plan.
You spend the whole day negotiating. Cover up to get lunch. Change to walk the boardwalk. Change again for dinner. Three outfits to do one day.
The BeachDrape™ collapses all of it into a single layer you never take off.
Uncopyable.
Openwork that actually breathes
Hand-look crochet eyelets. Coverage without the sauna. Dries in minutes, not hours.
Zero sizing decision
Open front, batwing cut. It drapes to your frame instead of fighting it.
Folds to nothing in a tote
Lightweight enough to forget you packed it. Shakes out without a crease.
Structured drape — not blanket-chic
Pointed hem and weighted fringe pull a vertical line. It hangs. It doesn't sag.
In motion.
Flat lays lie. Watch how the panels open, catch the wind, and fall back into line.
The flat.
Every line below is a decision. This is what separates a designed kimono from a rectangle with fringe glued on.

One layer.
All day.
- Poolside
Over the swimsuit, straight off the lounger
Wet or dry, it goes on. The openwork lets the suit underneath do the talking instead of hiding it.
- Boardwalk
Over linen shorts and a bandeau
Suddenly you can walk into a restaurant. Bag strap goes under the open front — no bunching.
- After dark
Over a slip dress, sleeves pushed back
The Ink colourway reads as evening, not swim. Nobody knows it started the day at the pool.
Answered flat.
"It looks see-through. Is it?"
Yes — deliberately. It's a crochet openwork kimono, not a dress. It's engineered to be worn over a swimsuit, bandeau, slip or bralette, never instead of one. That's exactly why it works in 34°C heat when a solid cover-up turns into a sauna. If you want opacity, buy a robe. If you want to look styled and still feel air, this is the one.
"One size" usually means it'll swallow me. I'm petite.
Open-front cuts don't have a waist to miss. The pointed centre hem drops a vertical line down your front instead of cutting a horizontal line across your hips — which is the actual reason most ponchos make people look wider. At 5'2" it reads as a mid-thigh kimono. At 5'10" it reads as a cropped drape. Both are correct.
Will it shed all over my black swimsuit?
No. Cheap wraps shed because they're brushed felt-finish fabric cut and glued. This is a knitted crochet structure with a knotted — not glued — fringe. Nothing to shed off. First wash cold in a mesh bag and you're set for the season.
Will the fringe tangle into a bird's nest?
The fringe is hand-knotted at an even pitch, which is what stops strands migrating and matting. Store it folded, not hung on a hook, and give it one shake out of the bag. If it ever bunches, run damp fingers down the strands — it re-hangs immediately.
Does it slide off my shoulders every ten seconds?
That's a fabric-weight problem, solved here by physics rather than promises: the dense border knit plus the weighted fringe hem keeps tension on the panels so they hang instead of creeping. It stays put on a boat, on a bike, in wind.
Shipping — how long, and where from?
Dispatched with tracking within 24 hours of ordering. Standard delivery is 5–8 business days; express is 2–4. You get the tracking link by email the moment the label is scanned, not a week later. [Edit these windows to match your real fulfilment.]
What if it isn't right?
30 days, free returns, no interrogation. Unworn with tags on. There's no size to get wrong, so returns on this piece are rare — but if the colourway isn't you, send it back and we'll swap it.
Can I actually swim in it?
You can get it wet — the openwork sheds water fast and dries in minutes flat on a lounger. We wouldn't recommend swimming laps in it, purely because the fringe is long enough to be annoying in the water. Off for the swim, on for everything else.
What actually happened.

One motion.
Entire outfit.
There's no size to choose and nothing to fasten. Just the piece, the drape, and a day you don't have to keep changing for.
